3 Minute Facial Massage

A quick 3-minute facial massage routine can be a simple yet effective way to elevate your skincare and self-care regimen. This practice promotes healthy circulation, bringing oxygen and nutrients to the skin, which enhances its natural glow and elasticity. By stimulating lymphatic drainage, facial massage can help to reduce puffiness and remove toxins, leaving your skin looking refreshed and revitalized. It also can help to relax facial muscles, easing tension that can lead to fine lines and a tired appearance.

Beyond the physical benefits, taking just a few minutes to focus on yourself can reduce stress, improve mood, and encourage mindfulness. You can incorporate a gua sha into your routine or just use your fingertips, making this quick routine a powerful addition to your daily care. Either way, this daily ritual might just become the most loved part of your day.

Here are a few tips to get started:

  • Always work in upward and outward motions to promote a lifting effect
  • Use light to medium pressure—your facial skin is delicate
  • Focus on your breathing as you massage to make the routine more calming

Preparation:

  1. Start with clean hands and a clean face.
  2. Apply a facial oil or serum to help your fingers glide smoothly over your skin. We recommend incorporating these steps once to twice daily during the application of our Evening Rose Facial Serum.

Routine Steps:

1. Neck and Jawline (1 minute):

  • Place your hands on either side of your neck.
  • Use upward strokes from the base of your neck to your jawline.
  • Next, use your thumbs to massage under your chin and along your jawline, moving outward toward your ears.

2. Cheeks (30 seconds):

  • Place the pads of your fingers near the corners of your mouth.
  • Gently glide your fingers upward and outward toward your cheekbones.
  • Use circular motions on your cheeks for a lifting effect.

3. Under-Eyes (30 seconds):

  • Using your ring fingers (the gentlest), start at the inner corners of your eyes.
  • Gently tap or glide outward toward your temples to reduce puffiness.

4. Forehead (30 seconds):

  • Place your fingers in the middle of your forehead.
  • Use gentle upward strokes from your brows to your hairline.
  • Then, move outward toward your temples with light pressure.

5. Temples and Relaxation (30 seconds):

  • Using your fingertips, massage your temples in slow, circular motions.
  • Gently press and release for a soothing finish.
