Local Selected Partnerships

2024

HARK is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to provide support and resources for at-risk children and youth in Buncombe County and beyond to promote a safe, enriching and hopeful future.

Their focus is that every child and youth will have the support needed to succeed and to grow up in a safe, stable, and nurturing environment. They work to provide resources that address both basic and special needs, including clothes, school supplies, tutoring, literacy assistance, beds, summer camp, housing for homeless students and other support during this intensely difficult time of their lives.

2023

Mountain Child Advocacy Center is a local 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to prevent harm, protect children and heal families through best practice programs and community collaboration. They believe that every child deserves a safe, healthy childhood free from harm and fulfill this vision by making decisions with CARE.

2022

My Daddy Taught Me That, a local youth development program designed to support young men through advocacy, education, and mentoring. This program has been near and dear to my heart since I learned about them in 2018 at Mindful Mornings Asheville.

2021

Helpmate of Buncombe County, a local organization that works with our community to eliminate abuse and fear by providing safety, shelter, and support for victims/survivors of intimate partner domestic violence.

2020

YWCA of Asheville, a local organization that works to eliminate racism, empower women and promote peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.

2019

Asheville Humane Society, a local organization that is all about hope, not heartache. As Buncombe County’s critical safety, they are always here to save and protect every animal.

2018

Black Mountain Home for Children, a local organization that cares for children from birth through college age and beyond if their homes are deemed unsafe or unhealthy.
