Gut Healthy Mocktails

As fall fast approaches, we are soaking in the final days of summer by celebrating with delicious gut healthy mocktails. We love to incorporate these festive drinks into our week as a way to embrace the season without wreaking havoc on our bodies. We hope you love them as much as we do and that you add in your own fresh ingredients that fit the season.

Strawberry Spearmint Spritzer 

High in vitamin C, refreshing and bright – this mocktail is perfect for the hot summer days still lingering.

Ingredients

  • 1 sprig of fresh spearmint muddled (6-7 leaves)
  • 4-5 fresh organic strawberries (quartered)
  • 1 tbsp of organic sugar or 1-2 tbsp of homemade simple syrup
  • 1/4 cup ginger soda, we love Devil's Foot Ginger Beer
  • Served over ice

How to

  1. Add organic strawberries and organic sugar (or simple syrup) to a cocktail glass and gently muddle 7-8 times.
  2. Add spearmint and gently muddle again to infuse flavor.
  3. Add ginger soda and gently stir to combine.
  4. Add ice, gently stir, and top with a splash of ginger soda.
  5. Gently stir once more. Garnish with mint if desired.

Calming Tart Cherry Tonic

This calming mocktail recipe not only helps to support a restful night of sleep, but also supports the function of the integumentary system promoting collagen and elastin from the inside out with ingredients rich in antioxidants and beta carotene.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 -1/3 cup tart cherry juice
  • Juice of 1/2 fresh lime (roughly .5 oz)
  • 1/3 cup seltzer or mineral water like Pellegrino
  • Served over ice
Optional add-ins
  • Splash coconut milk or whole milk
  • Dash of sea salt

How to

  1. Add ice to cocktail glass
  2. Combine juices and seltzer or mineral water into glass
  3. Stir and enjoy!

Blackberry Basil Mojito Mocktail

This modified recipe is simple to make and so yummy! Bonus: It helps aid in digestion.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp organic cane sugar
  • 1/2 medium lime (quartered)
  • 3 ripe blackberries (plus more for garnish)
  • 6-7 basil leaves (plus more for garnish)
  • 1 cup crushed ice
  • 1/4 cup club soda

How to

  1. Add lime segments, blackberries, and sugar to a cocktail glass and gently muddle 7-8 times.
  2. Add basil and gently muddle again 4-5 times to infuse flavor.
  3. Then add crushed ice, gently stir, and top with a splash of club soda.
  4. Gently stir/fold once more.
  5. Garnish with a bit more crushed ice and garnish with basil.
