#selfcare | How to Strike a Balance

We are all for taking the time to S L O W life down and become in tune with what our bodies need.

 There is quite the buzz happening about self care and what it does for both of our physical and emotional wellbeing. The evidence is there, taking care of yourself is essential to your daily existence. Check out one of our favorite TED Talks

A few of our favorites ways to practice #selfcare:

  • A mug of hot tea and favorite book.
  • Self massage to work out knots that keep the tension high. Try using our favorite tool for increased blood flow.
  • Meditation: no need to stress about how long, just make the time and go with what feels right that day. 
  • Walk in nature: we are very fortunate to live in Asheville and get to explore the outdoors everyday. Find your favorite local spot and frequent that space. Consistency is key.
  • Book a massage: better yet, find a therapist that makes house calls. We find that mobile massage is the key to making this type of self care work as it is easy to fill our schedules and neglect ourselves. 
  • At home spa night: detox mask + tub soak is the perfect way to unwind.
