Meet Christi | Founder & Proprietor | C&Co.® Handcrafted Skincare

What is a fun fact about you?

I was a runner & pole vaulter in high school and college at the University of Colorado, Boulder- Go Buffs!

What does your typical morning look like?

My day starts at 5 AM with a cup of yerba mate and a trip to the gym. Being a mom, business owner and wife, this is the time of day that I am able to prioritize me. Working out has been part of my lifestyle since I was 10 and a competitive runner but that is a story for another day. From there it is on to school drop-off and then to either our downtown location, Biltmore Village location or our independent lab in West Asheville. Finding a work-life balance is illusive as we do best by mixing the two together and knowing when to step away from it all.

Where did the name C&Co.® come from?

Years before I started the company and even before I started the pre-cursor brand, I would sign emails to friends + loved ones as XO, C&Co. This stood for me, Christi (C) and my husband, two dogs and cat. (the Co.) Fast-forward to 2012 when I made the decision to start this brand with the unwavering love and support of my husband and in-laws. The Co. then morphed into a whole new meaning and the name was a given for what I was creating. This brand is definitely a family-run brand. On any given day you will find me, my husband, our son, our aunt or my in-laws at either of our shops in Asheville.

Where you can find me?

Somewhere on a trail loving life.

What is your all-time favorite product?

Our Daily Face Polish. This product is so very unique and is one of the original few that has been around since our pre-cursor brand I started in 2010. Over the years I have found that clients either love it or hate it as the product needs to be stirred before use with the current packaging and formulation.

If you have not experienced this product it is a honey-based enzymatic morning facial cleanser that gently buffs away dead skin cells and assists with a healthy cellular turnover. This process is necessary in order to allow fully concentrated moisturizers and serums to absorb as intended and hydrate the dermis of skin.
