Meet Ellie! Massage Therapist, Yogi + All Around Creative Genius
Massage Therapist, Yogi + Creative Genius, how does that happen?
I was really fortunate to attend Rhode Island School of Design for college. I majored in textiles and the emphasis was really in encouraging students to think creatively and outside of the box. Surrounding myself with peers that were also kind of going against societal norms for college gave me the confidence to constantly question what I’m doing with my life and to follow my passions. While textiles, specifically weaving, is certainly a passion, working in the industry felt isolating and and stagnant. It’s funny but as a yoga instructor and now as a massage therapist, I have relied on my understanding and penchant for pattern to remember sequences. To me, yoga and massage are weaving together threads of movement for overall wellness.
What is your main goal when working at our retail location?
As a team, our main goal is to educate and inform our clients about the importance of what goes on to and, subsequently, into our bodies through the skin, our largest organ. Mindfulness through yoga, skincare and nutrition is definitely on the rise today and it is our goal to encourage clients, both new and returning, to maintain selfcare long after a new trend hits the marketplace. We believe in sustainable skincare, using simple and effective ingredients for lasting results.
What C&Co.® product has changed your life?
I love introducing clients to our Natural Deodorant (it keeps me feeling dry through the sweatiest yoga class). The Daily Face Polish is another game changer for any skincare routine. It is a honey, enzyme-based cleanser that buffs away dead skin cells and is gentle enough to use on a daily basis. If that peaked your interest, stop by the shop to give it a try!
What are your roles at C&Co.®?
You can find me at our our downtown shop generating content for our instagram, creating signage for our side walk signs and updating our seasonal window displays. Anything creative.
Where can we find you when you are not working?
